When you’re building your sprawling urban paradise in Cities: Skylines 2, you probably want to remove any unneeded underground pipes. Depending on the type, they can affect your city’s water supply, and equally upsetting, your sewage if not attended to properly.

Use the Bulldozer and the Underground view mode to remove underground water & sewage pipes in Cities: Skylines 2. You can take the following steps to do so:

You can freely click the individual pipes, but to save time I recommend clicking and holding from the starting point of your pipes and moving the cursor along their path to select multiple. This allows you to remove pipes in bulk, amassing quicker refunds and allowing you to get back to work on the rest of your city more quickly.

Why Should You Remove Underground Pipes in Cities: Skylines 2?

Even more crucially than with electric wires, pipes affect 2 different factors that help your city run: a reliable water supply and a proper outlet for its sewage. If either or both of these wind up improperly maintained, your city will be unhappy or, more importantly, unhealthy or even sick civilians, and you could quickly see your population go into decline.
